13-Nov-2021: Over the past 18 months or so, we've all seen (and posted) images of the ghost town that was the Melbourne CBD (much like revisiting the original post-apocalyptic Nevil Shute's "On The Beach").
Well, last night was the second night of the Australian performance of "Moulin Rouge" at the iconic Regent Theatre in Collins Street.
The ghosts have been banished!
Here's A1.241 rolling down a packed Collins Street at about 10:30pm - a tram that will soon fill with passengers enjoying the night, Collins Street packed with cars and the footpaths packed with happy patrons streaming out of Moulin Rouge - the first live stage production in Melbourne for what like seems forever. A very emotional evening for cast and audience alike.
