25 Apr 2014: Yarra Trams rises to the occasion every ANZAC Day by scheduling early tram services to get people to the dawn service at the Shrine Of Remembrance. To this end, trams on routes entering Melbourne from the north and west via the Haymarket turn left from Elizabeth Street into Victoria Street at the Queen Victoria Market and thence into Swanston Street and onwards to the Shrine in St Kilda Road. From about 4.45am to 5.30am there's a steady procession of trams only a couple of minutes apart packed with early risers attending the dawn service.
Here's D2.5016 about to cross Franklin Street in Swanston Street as B2.2114 waits outside the City Baths. Behind D2.5016, B2.2102 at left of frame is turning from Victoria Street into Swanston Street.
