27-Jan-1999:   Railfans came from all over Australia this week to photograph and film the final operation of the Leigh Creek - Port Augusta coal train hauled by four GM bulldogs.  The empty coal train is seen here departing Port Augusta power station, hauled by GM46-GM47-GM37-GM38 on a blistering hot day (I clearly remember a much appreciated refreshing ale, sitting on the verandah of the Parachilna pub at the end of this day's chase).

Only three more days to go as this 4xGM bulldog-hauled train will cease running on Saturday 30-Jan-1999 due to FreightCorp taking over the haulage contract from ASR.
