14-May-1977: C501 ushers in a new era for the Victorian Railways as she races towards Melbourne on her delivery run.  Mechanically a GM SD40, she is the first turbo-charged loco delivered to the VR and leader of a class of ten.  Seen here about to pass under the Portland Flat Road bridge, just west of Ballan
